Strange Hill was asked by the Elior Group to bring a new perspective to operations at One Under Lime, the bar beneath the iconic Lloyd’s Building in the heart of the City. The client felt the venue needed major revitalization and was looking for a clear change in direction.
Strange Hill first went about answering this brief with a series of research groups both online and face-to-face. We also worked alongside the existing staff to understand operationally what was achievable inside the space. The result was a budget-appropriate solution which included reconfiguration of the indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as the bar; a drinks and food strategy to maximize different times of the day; operational methods, training and manuals; and details such as staff uniform, social media guidelines and signage design.
